How do I wash my hemp product?

Our hemp products can be Not machine washable, spot clean only. Let dry naturally.
Hemp gets softer and softer with use, particularly with washing. If there are any stubborn stains, scrub them very gently. Also note that hemp webbing darkens in color over time, but rest assured it is still highly durable!

Can my pup swim with the Hemp products?

Yes! No worries if they get wet as hemp is naturally resistant to mold and mildew. Hemp fiber is especially great because of its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. It won't pull on your dog's fur or cause any hot spots due to its hypoallergenic, anti-microbial properties which also eliminates odor-producing bacteria.

What is the difference between Hemp and Cotton? How is Hemp better for the environment?

The hemp plant can be grown in a variety of soils and it is naturally disease and pest resistant. It can be cultivated with no dangerous pesticides. Hemp fibers are stronger, longer, and more absorbent than cotton fibers and hemp is much more durable, and insulates better than cotton. The hemp plant is tall and thin and grows from 5 to 15 feet in height. It is primarily grown in Canada as well as Europe, America,China and North Korea.

Hemp is also naturally resistant to mold, mildew, and ultraviolet light. It is hypoallergenic and non-irritating to the skin. In fact, hemp is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics currently available. The plant is very naturally resistant to pests and growth requires little water. Due to the porous nature of the fiber, hemp is more water absorbent, and will dye and retain its color better than any fabric including cotton. This porous nature allows hemp to "breathe," so that it is cool in warm weather. Furthermore, air which is trapped in the fibers is warmed by the body, making hemp garments naturally warm in cooler weather.

Hemp is an extremely fast growing crop, producing more fiber yield per acre than any other source - making production have a lower impact on the environment. Hemp can produce 250% more fiber than cotton and 600% more fiber than flax using the same amount of land. The amount of land needed for obtaining equal yields of fiber places hemp at an advantage over other fibers. Hemp plants shed their leaves all through the growing season, adding rich organic matter to the topsoil and helping it retain moisture. Farmers have reported excellent hemp growth on land that had been cultivated steadily for long time.
